Application Forms
HOW TO APPLY:
Students applying for Graduate Studies at Saint Mary’s University must submit:
1) An application form (including the application fee)
2) A supplemental form
3) Proof of English language proficiency (if required)
4) Recommendation Form
5) Official transcripts for all universities and colleges attended
6) Any specific documentation required by the program. Please see: http://fgsr.smu.ca/application_requirements.html for more details.
The application and supplemental form can be filled in online and submitted by email to: fgsr@smu.ca. When sending your application and supplemental form by email you may also attach other required documents such as a letter of intent, research proposal, CV/resume, writing sample, etc.
Documents such as reference letters and transcripts must be sent directly to us from your referee/university in order to be considered official.
If you are not able to submit your application by email then it can be mailed to us at:

Visiting Upgrading & Reactivation Students
Application Form for Visiting, Upgrading and Reactivation Students
- Visiting - students intending to take courses at Saint Mary's University on a "Letter of Permission" from their "Home Institution".
- Upgrading - students intending to take courses at Saint Mary's University after completing a degree program.
- Reactivation - former Saint Mary's University students who satisfy all of the following:
- Returning to the same academic program
- Did not attend Saint Mary's University for the entire preceding academic year or withdrew during the preceding academic year.
- Students must have approval from the appropriate Saint Mary's University program coordinator.
- Not be beyond the maximum period for their Graduate Program.
